The album leaked in 64kbps. The quality may be low but it’s still considered a leak nonetheless, so if we go by the logic that a something can only be considered to exist only if it meets such high standards then we would not have cheaper vehicles and other items we use and depend on everyday. Then by that logic we can argue that some humans beings don’t exist because they’re shitty people when in fact shitty people exist in the world we live in, so just because you don’t want to recognize something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Today’s my birthday and it’s bad enough that nobody has called or texted me, my girlfriend is mad, I woke up alone on the couch, and our plans to go to niagara falls for the weekend were financially sidelined, but this album leaked in 192kbps?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SHIT?!?!?! I listened to Born To Die for the first time during a breakup, Paradise when exploring love again, the Lana Del Ray S/T when training for a race in New York City, and shortly after that, Ultraviolence when flying to Tennessee for Bonnaroo last year. I am NOT listening to this in 192kbps on a ruined birthday. Whoever “leaked” this needs a kick in teeth. If this is a first world problem of catastrophic proportions, I don’t know what is. FLAC OR NOTHING!!!

Yea it must suck that your plans got sidelined and all, but be happy for all that you do have rather than all that you don’t. The bitrate doesn’t always reveal the actual quality. Transcoded rips can still be crap, and have a 320kbit/s bitrate encode.

Just want to quickly confirm that the VK leak is indeed legit, and not the audience recording previously reported.
It’s still a transcode, but most people won’t hear the difference at 256kbit/s.It’s the standard version, and doesn’t include the three bonus tracks.

There are different version out there at the moment, some with file downloads and some embedded as streams – The bitrates differ but most likely all of them are transcodes. None of the private torrent sites, such as What and Waffles, have approved any of the copies floating around as they are much more restrictive when it comes to audio quality (and especially transcodes).
Whatever it is, it’s not someone’s iPhone close to a speaker playing the album. And it has in fact leaked, which we’re here to report – Not supply any actual downloads.Also, it’s 3AM here, and after checking multiple sources to see if they were legit or not – I’m catching some much needed rest ;-)

I completely agree with you. Nothing really stands out musically, except perhaps for the faint ‘High by the beach’, ‘Salvatore’ and ‘The blackest day’. Vocals are the same del rey, but that won’t save the music. Both her previous albums, the unreleased demos even, are way ahead and more memorable than this generic album.
